Our Board of Trustees
“Elders carry the fire so the young may see the path.”
The Board of Trustees is the Foundation’s highest civic council. Seven trustees hold the covenant in trust for the nation, set the direction of the work, appoint the executive, and answer to the communities we serve, at home and abroad. Board seats are drawn to balance region and generation, women and men, faith and calling, so that no household can say it went unrepresented.
The Board is drawn from every quarter of the Kalenjin country and from the diaspora, so that no community, no county, and no generation is spoken for without being heard. Trustees serve fixed terms, publish their outside affiliations, declare conflicts of interest before every meeting, and give their labour without salary.
