Kalenjin Organisations
“One reed makes a whistle; many reeds make a roof.”
The Kalenjin nation lives through many houses. Elders' councils and customary courts keep the peace at home. Community trusts hold land and heritage. Diaspora chapters carry the language across four continents. The Foundation is one of these houses, and it works in fellowship with all of them.
The directory below gathers the sister organisations we walk with. It is not exhaustive: it is a starting point, kept open so that any Kalenjin institution acting in good faith can be listed here. Every link opens on the organisation's own site, in its own voice.

The civic and philanthropic institution of the Kalenjin people. The Foundation funds programmes across the fifteen sister communities, six Rift Valley counties, and the diaspora chapters that carry the nation abroad.

Kalenjin Council of Elders ↗
Fifteen sister communities · Kabarnet, Baringo
The senior customary body of the Kalenjin nation. The Council of Elders keeps the peace between the fifteen communities, blesses the covenant, arbitrates disputes brought to it in good faith, and speaks with one voice on matters of land, ritual and lineage.

Kalenjin Trust ↗
Rift Valley and diaspora · Nairobi, Kenya
The endowment vehicle of the Kalenjin nation. The Trust holds long horizon assets on behalf of the communities, invests them under a written mandate, and releases annual distributions to the Foundation and other sister institutions for programmes agreed by the Council.

Kalenjin House of Prophets ↗
Kenya and diaspora · Rift Valley
The gathering of prophets, seers and pastors of the Kalenjin nation. The House keeps the moral memory of the people, prays over the councils, and calls the nation back to the covenant when it strays. It is ecumenical, not partisan, and answers to God before all.

Kalenjin Athletic Club ↗

The formal home of Kalenjin athletics. The Club identifies young runners in the highland schools, supports coaching camps at Iten and Kaptagat, and stewards the record and legacy of the Home of Champions for a new generation.

The Kalenjin Institute ↗
Global · Eldoret and diaspora
The research and policy arm of the nation. The Institute commissions studies on language, land, climate, education and health, publishes them openly, and trains a rising cohort of Kalenjin scholars to speak with authority in the councils of the world.
