Nakuru is the meeting county. Kipsigis families of Molo and Kuresoi, Arror, Samor, and Lembus households along the Mau ridge, Nandi settlers of Rongai and Njoro, and the Ogiek of the eastern Mau forest all share this ground with neighbours from every part of Kenya.
The city itself has become one of the most important Kalenjin urban centres outside the counties of origin. Nakuru holds a large share of Kalenjin professionals, students, and traders, and is one of the natural convening points for national Foundation events.
The Foundation works with the Ogiek Peoples Development Programme, the councils of elders of the Mau, and diaspora chapters in Nakuru city to run mentorship, land, and forest recovery programmes.
