One Nation United Under God

Murule

A small community that stands together is a strong community.

Homeland
The Murule country within the wider northern Kalenjin borderland.
Counties
Baringo · West Pokot
Tongue
Murule, a small but distinct voice within the Kalenjin family.
Livelihood
Goats, cattle, and mixed hillside farming.

The Murule are one of the smaller of the fifteen communities, and they hold their own country in the northern borderland of the Kalenjin nation.

Their tongue and their customs sit close to their neighbours, and the community has for generations played a quiet part in the wider life of the nation.

The Foundation is committed to bringing the Murule record fully into the living archive alongside the others.
