Endorois

The lake feeds the ones who keep its shore clean.

Homeland
The country around Lake Bogoria and the southern shore of Lake Baringo.
Counties
Baringo
Tongue
Endorois, close to Arror and Samor with its own Rift accent.
Livelihood
Goats, cattle, honey, and fishery of the lake shore.

The Endorois are the people of Lake Bogoria and its hot springs, an ancient community that has kept the shore of the lake through many generations.

Their long defence of their ancestral land is a landmark case in African human rights, and their memory of the lake, of its birds, and of its healing waters is one of the treasures of the Kalenjin nation.

The Foundation stands with the Endorois in the continuing work of restoring their country and their voice.
